Reviews for Steady Step Stretch X Night Splint, Large (Health and Beauty) In researching splints I remember one person's comment that "the best splint is the one you'll actually wear." Amen - and for me, this one is it!

I have long had both moderate (occasionally severe) plantar fasciitis (both feet) and rheumatoid arthritis in both ankles; morning can be excruciating - not to mention any middle-of-the-night need to walk even a few steps. (Nothing like excrutiating pain to leave you wide awake!)

For years I have had and HATED a hard-shelled night splint. Besides being uncomfortable or even painful, it is outrageously dangerous on tile floors. I have looked at hard-shelled splints that have an actual tread on the bottom, but they are quite expensive and I feared would also languish in the bottom of the closet until the pain got out of hand.

This splint is a delight. It's comfortable, easy to put on, easy to walk in. Can I get as deep a stretch as with the other? Probably not, but I don't need that if I just wear a splint regularly, and I've worn this one every night, all night, since getting it. And I can walk with ease every morning and in the middle of the night. I'll probably order a second one soon since both ankles/feet sometimes flare up at the same time. (That I'm willing to sleep in two of these at once tells you how comfortable they are!)

ANTI-SLIP suggestion: This boot is nowhere near as dangerous as the plastic one I have, but it is like walking in socks w/ no traction.
